Selaras Sekar Jagad: Musical Confluence of East and West

Gamelan concert including Western-influenced, modern, traditional and contemporary compositions, plus piano inspired by Gamelan. Master Darsono Hadiraharjo (Cornell University) led the Emory Gamelan Ensemble as music director and drummer. Pianist Alejandro Arzú, an Emory junior, performed Godowsky’s Java Suite. The Ensemble debuted a composition by Emory senior Anuja Veeraghanta.
