Activities

A summary of our activities follow:

  • Weekly Rehearsal is held in Emory’s Performing Arts studio building
  • Twice a year we arrange for a visiting gamelan master to hold an intensive multi-day Workshop for the ensemble
  • At the conclusion of the fall and spring semesters cornerstone Performances are held, usually at Emory’s Performing Arts Studio, sometimes accompanying shadow puppetry or traditional dance.  As well, we enjoy performing in the community: at festivals, in religious spaces, etc.
  • Some ensemble members have tied significant Academic Projects to their love of gamelan.
