2018-2019 Emory Gamelan Ensemble Director Siti Sarah Muwahidah, PhD candidate was honored on January 23, 2020 with a Creativity & Arts award for her significant contributions to the arts through leading our ensemble.
She shared that this, in many ways, is an award for all of our members and a testament to our teamwork. Music Department Chair Kevin Karnes, who was appointed Vice Provost for the Arts as of January 2020, presented the award in glowing terms with a number of members of our gamelan family present to share in the celebration.
