Free, public lecture to be delivered by Dr. Maho Ishiguro, a visiting ethnomusicologist and scholar-practitioner of Javanese and Acehnese dance and music. She is currently a lecturer at Yale and director of the Central Javanese Gamelan Ensemble at Smith College. She will be coming to conduct dance and music workshops for the Emory Gamelan Ensemble on March 15-22 and will co-lead a public performance with the Emory Ensemble on April 4, 6 pm at Emory’s Performing Arts Studio.
